Busy Times Busy People

Why is it that as we proceed into the future and everything revolves around immediate gratification, yet my job keeps getting slower. I mean what its all about now is the numbers. I have to breakdown any job I do to what it consists of. Line by line, number by number. And then have a meeting about the meeting to discuss the upcoming meetings. When do I get to do my job done?
Why is it that everything is fast, fast, fast, go, go ,go and then I have to wait for something to happen? Why is it that everyone hits Lotto, gets a great car, buys a new home, wins the raffle...when is it my turn? Me, me, me, now, now, now ..... it's just not ME and maybe not NOW.
That's ok, I don't mind. All good things come to those who wait. (NOT!) So long as I have my health, my family and my XBOX360. I'm fine. I remember the good old days, and honestly, it's true. Things were slower. Laid back. I could separate each task, job from the rest and get things done. Now, when one thing is done, there are 10 more to take its place. I need to start creating task lists...for home.... 1) take out garbage 2) wash car 3) mow lawn 4) replace boiler 5) refinish floor 6) price new siding 7) plant flowers 8) brush teeth 9) shower 10) sleep
Sleep - ah sleep. It's the one thing that I look forward to every day. Due to the fact that I dream every night (honestly) I have a second life. Sometimes of course I have nightmares, but mostly it is just another escape for me. New experiences and new people to meet, all in the comfort of my own home. LOL

Well more later.

Sex, xxx, nude, celebrity

I know that it will take time for people to start hitting my blog, but I thought I would help it along with some key words. How many times have I gone to someones computer and I see these terms in their search engine. And how many times have I typed a search only to be directed to a page that had nothing to do with what I searched for?????
These are the life and times of sex and the Internet. Everywhere I turn I see ads, links and spam about size, length and duration. And we are not talking occasionally. It's all the time. So I thought I would use some of these words to get hits. :) LOL
A new celebrity sex scandal has hit the news. Nude pictures and video clips of celebrity are said to be real. Celebrity denies the possibilty of these pictures and video stating "I can't remember the last time I had sex!"
Who is she? Who is the unknown man she is having sex with? He is married and has ties with many known XXX directors and photographers.
Bigger, longer, faster, stronger. Hot, wet, chicken breast, ass end of a pickup. Sexy swimsuit and camel toes have elastic pads on the bottom to prevent them from sinking in sand.
hee hee hee
Sorry - had to do this.

Travel and Expenses

Ok, so I am driving in this morning and I realize that there is an occurence that happens everyday to me on both my morning commute and my commute home. It's that person that feels the need, for whatever darn reason, to not let you pass. I will refer to this person and "The Racer".
I have a 50 mile commute to and from work. I travel on local roads as well as a four lane highway. Mostly I see this happen on the local roads. 45MPH to 50MPH. You are behind the racer who travels at the speed limit or at 5 miles below. For miles you are behind this person. Then there is an opportunity to pass on a dotted passing zone or an area of roadway with an extra lane. This person then decides to pick up speed and by the time you have reached the end of the passing zone you find yourself driving 70 miles an hour. This happens when trying to pass on a four lane highway too! Why, why, why, why, why...
My son tried to explain that he thinks it is a psychological reason. That when there is the extra lane or passing lane, people feel that they have to pick up speed, or that there is the mentality of being in first. Not me. I don't need to be first, I just want to travel the speed limit or better to get where I am going in MY time. Just move over. I have to admit at these times I feel the "road rage" pushing at its restraints. I breathe, count to ten, and fall back. Change the radio station, pull over, or just start thinking of something else. But why does this happen. Just one of those things that tends to irk me.
I find that this happens mostly in the tri-state area I am in. New York, New Jersey and Connectitcut. But when I travel south to Delaware, Maryland, Virginia... this does not happen as often at all. The driving courtesy is there, people allowing you to merge onto the highway, moving to the right lane so that you can pass... No Indy 500 here.
Even the signs are different. In New York it is "Men Working" "Slow Down" "Traffic Fines are Doubled" down south it is "Please be kind to Construction Crews" "Slow Down, Please"
I am joking, but please, what are people thinking when they drive.
Enough of a rant. Just my two sense.

My First Post

Hello Everyone.

This is my first post. I will try to post as often as I can and will answer any and all replies, if possible. I have read so many different blogs online and decided that it was time for me to join the crowd. I am sometimes funny, sometimes serious, but always entertaining. Discussing dreams, movies, books, nature, geography and life in general.

In the past I was the type of person that would turn the other cheek, look for the best in everyone, give people a chance, see the glass half full - An Optimist. Well after 46 years on this planet I have become - A Pessimist..... Don't get me wrong - I am not a full blown pessimist, but I am more pessimistic than optimistic. Living in New York State does not help this situation either. :) I am hoping that by putting down in words what I see, feel and think will allow me to shake off the dark forces of pessimism and start to become human again.

Wish me Luck
